Songwriting workshop with noah dillon
Wednesday, 23rd January
2pm - 5pm
Cost - $60
Rock Scholars is delighted to host this three hour songwriting workshop with amazing local singer-song writer Noah Dillon.
Noah has recently exploded onto the vibrant WA music scene with his 5 piece alt-rock band. His lyric driven music is a melting pot of honest stories and emotional tales, seamlessly colliding mundane existence with the darkest depths of life. Noah leaves audiences in tears, laughter and with a yearning to hug their mothers like never before. The group released their first single, ‘The Man Im Not’, in 2017 with huge success, gathering over 150,000+ streams on Spotify and community radio airplay across Australia. This success grew with a second single titled ‘Maggots’, released in May this year, receiving airplay on Triple J and becoming the most played song on RTRFM 92.1 in May, as well as their 8th most played song of 2018. With a debut album and a handful of single releases on the horizon, 2018 is set to be a break through year for this young artist. Recently supporting big names around Perth such as The Kill Devil Hills, Southern River band, Spacey Jane and playing prime time spots at Fairbridge festival, this is not an act to miss! Noah’s music is a genre bending mix of singer song-writer inspirations such as Bob Dylan and Courtney Barnet with the tear jerking attitude of Modest Mouse and Alex G creating a unique kaleidoscope of songs that'll make you question who you are.
This workshop is suitable for 12-18 year olds. Places are limited, so don’t delay booking.
