Gigs are everything at Rock Scholars. Our band program is all about putting live bands on stage as early and as often as possible - this is where our kids get to put their skills into practice and share their music with other people. Every band in our program is guaranteed to take part in a showcase gig at the end of every single term. New students joining Rock Scholars for the first time will play their first show in just 10 weeks. We also put on numerous events throughout the year giving our bands lots of chances to perform live.

We aim to have every band prepared to perform for 20 - 30 minutes at these shows which are open to the public and promoted through the local music press and radio stations. We are privileged to have an excellent relationship with a number of great local live music venues including:

The bird, northbridge
Mojos Bar, North Fremantle
459, North perth
clancy’s fish pub, fremantle
The Rosemount Hotel, North Perth

And of course we have our own in-house performance space The Garage which is permanently set up with a full stage, professional sound system and lighting rig.

All these venues provide top end equipment and a real paying audience, making the experience for our students as authentic as possible - these are not school concerts! All Rock Scholars shows are family friendly and we welcome children as well as adults to attend.
